Learn Reconnective Healing: What Level I Actually Teaches

When people first decide to learn Reconnective Healing®, they usually want to know one simple thing: what actually happens inside the course? It's a lovely question, and a course page can only say so much. So we'd love to open the door and show you around.

The Portal: Reconnective Healing® Online Essentials (Level I) is taught by Dr. Eric Pearl and Jillian Fleer. It is made up of eight hours, each one its own module, divided into 64 short lessons you can move through at your own pace. Here is a look at what's waiting inside.

What Many People Picture When They Set Out to Learn Reconnective Healing

Many of us arrive expecting a method. Most of what we have learned in life came as steps to follow, so it feels natural to imagine hand positions to memorize or a sequence to get right.

Reconnective Healing® is an approach, and the course reflects that throughout. What you learn is how to notice and interact with the Reconnective Healing Frequencies™, the frequencies of Energy, Light & Information®, which are already within and around you. From the very first hour, students tend to notice the Frequencies for themselves.

A Sample Hour: Inside Hour 1

The easiest way to see how The Portal is put together is to step into Hour 1, which is offered as a complimentary sample hour. Hour 1 opens with Introduction and Interaction, then moves through eight chapters:

• A Conversation with Eric, where Dr. Eric Pearl shares the origin story of Reconnective Healing®
• Beyond Perception, with a lesson on the perception of reality
• Find, Feel and Follow the Frequencies, an introduction to feeling the Frequencies with your hands
• The Interconnectivity of Science & Reconnective Healing, on the nature of reality, with reference material and a bibliography
• Wholeness and Life Progress, on how healing differs from therapy
• Eric and Solomon, with a lesson called I Want You to Wonder
• Listen with a New Part of Yourself, on active and passive listening
• Questions and Answers, which follows the hour's teachings and exercises

The hour then closes with a conclusion and a short quiz.

Hour 1 is a sample of the whole. Each of the seven hours that follow has its own lessons and exercises, so every hour opens something new. Here is a taste of where they go.

Hour 2: Time, Space and a Wider View of Healing

Hour 2 follows Eric's search for answers. It looks at time and space, and at how the two work as a single unit. It also widens what the word healing can mean, and adds new exercises that use your whole body and your center of physical balance to feel the Frequencies.

Hours 3 and 4: Feeling More, Doing Less

Hour 3 brings science and spirituality into the same conversation and introduces an exercise with the playful name Wax On, Wax Off. Its science chapter turns to research on the field effect, including an experimental investigation of Reconnective Healing® workshops by Dr. William Tiller. The hour closes with a look at the future of healthcare.

Hour 4 looks at techniques and modalities, and at the difference between attention and intention. It's a natural place for the simplicity of this work to come into focus, because Reconnective Healing® asks for nothing to perform. The Clock Face exercise and a lesson on particles and waves complete the hour.

Hours 5 and 6: Trust and Knowingness

In Hour 5, Dr. Eric shares the six phrases, and the Beyond Perception chapter looks at fear disguised as love. The hands-on exercise goes by Taffy, Rubberband and Magnet. Science turns to the biofield, and the hour comes to rest in knowingness.

Hour 6 continues with Eric's reflections on healing and looks at the idea of protection. You'll meet the Slinky and Ping Pong Ball exercise along with a science lesson called Local and Non-Local. The hour closes with a look at healing models.

Hours 7 and 8: Sharing It and Carrying It Forward

Hour 7 brings someone else into the room. Its exercise is Practicing with a Friend, a lovely chance to feel the Frequencies alongside another person. The science chapter covers biophotons, and the hour settles into coherence.

Hour 8 opens with worthiness and an exercise called Field Intensification. Then the science chapter draws its conclusions, and the course closes with awareness of life progress. The final hour also includes an e-book and two workbooks from The Inner Compass to keep you company afterward.

Why Science Sits Beside the Experience

Every hour has a science chapter, and you may wonder why an approach rooted in awareness spends time on research. The thinking mind likes to have a place to land. Ideas such as the nature of time and space or the biofield give it something to engage with while your hands and awareness do the noticing.

The research continues outside the course as well. An integrative review of the scientific evidence for Reconnective Healing®, published in 2017 in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, gathered the studies up to that point. We find it meaningful that researchers keep taking an interest. At the same time, the experience is something each person has for themselves, and that is where every hour returns.
