The official path is simpler than most people expect, and it begins with a capacity you already have.

People often ask me how to become a Reconnective Healing practitioner. The question usually arrives with a little hesitation, as if there must be some rare gift you either have or you don’t.

I can only answer from my own path. I first encountered Reconnective Healing® at a weekend conference in Los Angeles in 2012. After I received my personal Reconnection®, I just knew I had to become a practitioner. I never hesitated. What I found along the way is that the path is clear, and it begins with something you already carry: the capacity to notice.

What a Reconnective Healing Practitioner Actually Does

The most common assumption I hear is that a practitioner is someone who does the healing. It’s an understandable picture. Most of us grew up with the idea that healing is something one person performs on another.

As a practitioner, I experience it as a three-way communication. I tune into the frequencies, and the frequencies connect with the person receiving the session. I’m not sending anything. I am receiving, just like a Bluetooth device pairing with the frequencies and with the person receiving the session. There’s no channeling either. Whatever unfolds belongs to them.

That shift in understanding sits at the heart of the training. Reconnective Healing® is an approach, and everything you learn is about relating to it with awareness.

My Own Training Path

In 2013 I took Level 1 (now Online Essentials) and Level 2 (now Reconnective Healing® Training program) in San Diego with Dr. Eric Pearl, Jillian Fleer, Cecilia Samms and Joan Fowler. That same year I completed The Reconnection® Training Program in Las Vegas with instructor Patrice Fistor-Jaehnig, and I trained as a mentor with Pat Atanas in Prague. Each step built on the one before it.

Where the Path Begins Today

Today the official path starts online, with The Portal: Reconnective Healing® Online Essentials Course, a personal introduction to the Frequencies guided by Dr. Eric Pearl and Jillian Fleer. Everyone is welcome to begin here, whatever their background.

This course is close to my heart, because I directed it. I searched for a way to adapt my own in-person experience of Level 1, and the course follows a very similar flow to the one Dr. Eric, Jillian, and the instructor team shared with students in person. My goal was to carry the feeling of that room into the course, so that when you arrive at an in-person training, the experience already feels familiar.

The In-Person Training

The core of becoming a Reconnective Healing practitioner is the in-person Reconnective Healing® Training Program, where you experience the Frequencies directly under Dr. Eric Pearl’s guidance. Programs are held in locations around the world, and you can see what’s coming up on the events page.

For me, there is something about a shared field of awareness that stays with you long after the program ends.

From the training, there are two ways forward. The Personal Path is for sharing Reconnective Healing® privately with family and friends. The Professional Path is for those who feel called to offer sessions as a Reconnective Healing practitioner. You can see the full pathway on the Learn Reconnective Healing® page.

The Reconnection® and Continued Support

If the Professional Path calls you, The Reconnection® Training Program is a must to attain professional certification. It is the training in facilitating The Reconnection®, a distinct process received once in a lifetime. I received my own Reconnection® before I trained to facilitate it.

After training, online courses continue to support your integration as a practitioner. Becoming a practitioner has felt to me much more like a relationship that keeps growing than a finish line.

What Shifted for Me

In my early years, I found myself looking for the phenomena that often happen around these frequencies. Practicing has moved me from that searching into full acceptance and flow of its gift, without judgment or expectations.

Everyone’s experience is their own, and none of this is a promise. These are some of the shifts people often describe as awareness settles into daily life:

  • A softer relationship with effort, in sessions and everywhere else
  • Noticing subtle sensations that used to pass unregistered
  • Less need to control outcomes, for yourself or for anyone else
  • A growing trust in simply being present
  • Curiosity taking the place of pressure to get it right
  • A clearer sense of the difference between doing and allowing

Knowing You’re Learning from the Source

As interest in Reconnective Healing® has grown, you’ll find many places online using its name. It helps to know where official training comes from. Since December 2025, ReconnectiveHealing.com has been the one official home for Reconnective Healing® training, and certification is issued only through ReconnectiveHealing.com.

That means every certified Reconnective Healing practitioner trained through the official path. If you’re ever unsure about a program, you can write to the team directly and ask. Dr. Eric Pearl and our team explain this in more detail in Reconnective Healing® Training: The Official Path.

Why It Stays So Simple

What I appreciate most, all these years later, is how little there is to master in the usual sense. What you learn is how to stay out of your own way. The training refines your awareness so you can interact with the Frequencies naturally, and that capacity was already yours.

People sometimes ask whether any of this has been studied. It has. An integrative review of the scientific evidence for Reconnective Healing®, published in 2017 in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, gathered the research to that point. I find it meaningful that researchers have taken an interest. At the same time, what draws most people I meet to become a Reconnective Healing practitioner is something quieter than data. It’s the experience itself.

When you train, you stop trying to earn the ability to be present. You recognize it.

Sharing It with Others

Once you’re practicing, you can offer Reconnective Healing® sessions both in person and at a distance. Reconnective Healing® Distance Sessions work through awareness, because awareness has no distance, and the person receiving simply rests in their own space, lying down or sitting, entirely offline. A personal Reconnection® is the exception, and it is always facilitated in person.

Whether you share it with one person you love or with clients around the world, the communication stays the same. You tune in, and the person receiving is free to receive in their own way.

Knowingness

If you’ve been wondering how to become a Reconnective Healing practitioner, I’d say that the wondering itself means something. For me, the knowing came quickly and clearly. For you it may arrive more quietly.

When I received my personal Reconnection®, I just knew. That knowingness is where this path begins.
